-95. advertisement

another one for the 100 Pic Challenge

the theme of my choice today was.... advertisement.

so it's working on 2 levels. because
1) they are advertising on trying to get a ride.
and 2) i'm advertising my characters for GuitaRa! YAY!

ok. let's start with the story.

Ty and his band, GuitaRa! have been given a chance to compete in Battle of Bands in Las Vegas.

Sadly, none of the guys have a license to drive. Blame it on the over-use of taxi cabs and their chauffeur friend, who happens to be Bunny's boyfriend. Anyhow...

Ren in the only one who HAS a license. So they ask for her to be a chauffeur for the trip to vegas. They promise to pay her for her time, since she had to ditch work for this trip.

While driving the van to Las Vegas, the guys became rather roudy. They began practicing their songs and arguing about the beat, tempo, melody, tempo, drums, chopsticks, songs, money, blah blah blah.... ALL the while practicing off key!!!! It pissed off Ren so much, that she lost control of the vehicle when a tortoise crossed her path.

The van skid out of control, causing them to land in a ditch. With 2 flat tires, and a hole in the gas tank.

Thankfully, no one was hurt. but the problem was pretty bad. How would they get to Las Vegas in time for the concert that could change their lives?

And so, they stood in a line, with cardboard signs. Asking for help and ride to Vegas.

AND NOW!!!!
I finally made the band member's character designs! I'll tell you what they play and a little about them.

From left to right.

Ren: She's not in the band, but she does play a part in designing their logo, CD cover, and graphics.

Ty: He's the lead vocal. He plays piano, and guitar. You could say he's the MAIN character in this series i'm trying to make. ^^ ; He's 24.

Sean: Also vocalist and guitar. he's a chipper goth, and a pretty boy. He's a silly one and very energetic. He's 21. He works at Bullseye with Ty. He eats and eats and never gains any weight. He is a BAD drunk, almost changing from sweet boy, to MAD CRAZY OLD MAN with a sailor's tongue!

Dave: is the drummer and also the band manager. He's also 24. He was Ty's room-mate for a while until he moved to his sister's place to take care of her 5 kids. Because of this, he likes children. He's a smoker and very mellow but very frantic without his smokes. He wears sunglasses almost all the time because he dislikes the attention he gets from his multi-colred eyes. (one is blue, one is light green)

Alex: is the bass guitar. He's the oldest member, being 29. He is married and works in construction. Even though his appearance looks that of a delinquent, he is VERY smart, articulate, and well respected for his work.

NOTE: For my 100 Pic Challenge, i am also challenging myself by drawing GuitaRa! based art. This is a series i am working on. I still need to work on the story, but i want to get practice with the character designs and get more inspiration. So please dont ask where you can get more info about this, because it's a series in the making. Mm'kay?

OH!......and the girl is REN.....not RUNEE. Some people are getting her confused because she looks like the DearS Runee that i drew a while back. And that design led to Ren's creation....and i bet you dont even know what i'm talking about so.....have a cookie. <---yum
