This was done during my short but very powerful "piratey" phase. i drew 3 pictures. which isn't alot, but it took a while to complete. And i'm quite proud of them darn you!

My last pirate deviation was this one of Runee. i started the story and left it hanging. Until now. If you are interested in the further development of the story, read on. Other than that....you can just ignore the text below. IT"S ALOT....!!!! @_____@

And NOW!! ......The story!

In our last episode....err....deviation...
Runee immidiately took the pirate, Mika's advice.

She quit her job that day at the bar and joined the navy. She would have preferred to be on a shrimp boat, but sadly no one took her seriously and well.... the navy seals are always looking for new recruites so....

She began to get her sea legs, and understand the weather, the sky, the clouds and how they affected the ships voyage. She went thru hardships and tons of upset stomachs. She started off as a deck swabber. Later being promoted to potato peeler and later an onion chopper. She slowly progressed to the soup kitchen.... where she became a fine cook.

One day, she was presented with the task of serving up something for the captain. Which was an honor mind you! She was almost done with her delicious entree' when all of a sudden she remembered she forgot the captain's drink. Rum!

She searched and searched but to no avail.

She went down to the storage room and found empty bottles of rum. And who did she find there?!

A red haired girl. She was part of the crew.... Runee remembered her as the one who constantly had an upset stomach. She was sent to the boiler room where the ship didn't move as much, but was later demoted to inventory control of coal.

"Are you okay....miss?"
*BUURRP* "Whaaayyyy? Eeez de rum alwaaaaaayyyhhhhs gun?!" she slurred loudly.
"Oh boy.... you drank all the rum did you now?"
"Aye.... *BUURRP* ish was allllll fer mai upshet shtumeck."
"You have a weak stomach i know.....but this is no way to...."
"BLAH!! SHADDUP.....AHUT IT!"

The girl fainted as Runee tried to lift her up onto a crate. She heard footsteps coming and she quickly covered her with a nearby tarp.

"What be goin' on here?!" a man asked, he was the captain's goon.
"Oh....i was trying to look for some rum for the cap'n."
"And? what be taking so long?!"
"I seemed to have used it all...."
"WHAT? There was enough to buzz a whale! What did you do with it all?!" he yelled as he grabbed Runee's collar
"I wasted it..." Runee replied bravely.
The captain's goon dropped Runee to the floor and walked off. "You'll be hearing from the cap'n! You WILL!"

Runee sighed in relief as he walked off. She knew she would be in a world of hurt... and not to mention she would be demoted to a horrible position... like laundry service. But it would be fine. As long as she can prevent someone less fortunate than herself. It made her happy that she could help this red haired girl. Whoever she was.

Runee scrubbed and scrubbed but could not get any stains off the musty clothes she was given to clean. She would take days to clear off the mountain of clothes given to her. But it was nice to have a view of the outside for a change. As a cook, there were no windows and it smelled of fish and burnt food. At least now she smelled sea air... and... musty clothes... ^^ ;

The door to the laundry roomed opened. And in stepped the red haired girl! It was her!
"um....." she began. "im really sorry..."
Runee smiled. "Oh its ok.... no worries..."
"But i.... i caused you great trouble!! And.... pain..." She said as she pointed to Runee's bruised arms and face.
"Well.... some sacrifices must be made..." Runee said. "I have to get stronger.... for him..."
"Him who?"
"Oh.... my uhm...." Runee blushed as she was about to reveal a secret to a complete stranger. "My pirate prince..."
"PIRATE?!"
"Shhh!! Quiet you fool!" Runee put her hand over her mouth.
"Psh! I HAVE a name!" she hissed.
"Really.....? Is it RUMMY?"
The red haired girl did NOT find this amusing. "No! It's Chiri!"
"Nice to meetcha. Cheerio." Runee said.
"GAH! It's CHIRI! NO CHEERIO!!!!"

The girls began to talk. Runee explained her story... about her kidnapped brother and her hopes to become strong enough to fight against the evil captain Reina, and her savior, the Pirate named Mika. Chiri told her own story about having lost her family and then spending her family fortune on goat racing. She bet on the wrong goats and piled up debt after debt until the mafia was after her. She was able to escape from them when she accidently boarded a ship who was recruiting sailors.... the Navy Seals! The two girls became friends. And slowly befriended more and more females on the ship. There weren't many, but all of the girls shared the same dream ....... overthrow the male dominated navy ship. Call it their own, and become the first ship full of pirate women!





In our last story / episode / drawing .....
Runee, the laundry cleaner, with the help of Chiri, the boiler room girl, befriended all of the women on the Navy Seal. It was their plan to rebel against the captain and any other on his side. They would spare the lives of those men who would submit. Later to be dropped off at the nearest port. Those who resisted would be killed. Runee did not want to spill blood, but as a pirate, she would have to eventually.

The night of their attack came quicker than expected. All the women shared the same dream as Runee, and they all believed in her to guide them. Runee planned out their attack. Distractions.... defense....and attack. Those women who were weaker would use their 'charm' to distract the guards on watch duty. While the others would sneak into the captains quarters. Luck was on their side, as the plan went smoother than expected. Runee was able to aprehend the captain, take him to the main deck where all the other sailors submitted to her orders as she took their captain hostage.

While some attempted to request for backup from other Navy ships, they were severely punished by the offense team. Either way.... Runee had instructed a group of women to destroy any navigation system, computer, security system, operating system, and ANY piece of Navy technology the ship had. They would start over with their own systems. The ship once known as the Navy Seal would be redone. It would be transformed from a government ship, to a ship they could call their own.

They stopped at the nearest port, which was somewhere in Russia....

And then they were free......

It took some time, but eventually, Runee became captain of the newly "pirated" ship, Kuro Ushi (Black cow). During their stay, at Delfin Town, where there ship was being pimped out using the money from the Navy Seal's safe and other miscellaneous products they pawned off. (xD) The crew of Kuro Ushi began recruiting more women onto their ship. They walked into brothels and whore houses. Bars and warehouses..... any place where a woman who had been brought down would want to change for something exciting and free. One woman in particular was actually quite a catch for Runee. Her name was Nanshi. She was the strongest of the women in the warehouse joint. She had a reputation of killing abusive men, and she was damn good at it for her to get away with it. She had no regrets of killing them, and her reason?

"He had it coming." she said flatly.
"Whoa..... " Runee looked at Nanshi. She saw a strong hearted woman with good strong morals and a temper that hell could not match.

Nanshi joined the crew and together...... 23 women sailed the open seas!

The Kuro Ushi had been sailing for 6 weeks now. Stopping by occasional towns now and then to stock up on food and mingle with the locals. They also began getting their name out.... and they began to learn of other pirates... their locations and turfs. They were in the game. Runee was still trying to find her pirate prince. And she asked everyone at every port.

"Do you know Captain Mika?"

And everyone of them replied that they did not know who he was.

"Maybe he lied about his name... " she thought. "He's a pirate..so why would he want to be found by someone else? Someone like me? Maybe he thought i would report him to bounty hunters"
Runee pondered and pondered as her thoughts sent her to another world.

"So?"
"Huh?" Runee jumped up, being brought back to the real world.
"Where to now Cap'n?" Chiri asked.
"Ah..... uh....." Runee had trouble thinking. "Just.... sail westbound... somewhere... we need to find him."
"Aye aye...." Chiri sighed. "Maybe this prince of yours left you a clue as to where to find him?"
"He only told me his name. And he said to ask around." Runee said. "He said that other pirates know where other pirates are and he gave me....." she stopped as she looked at her prince's necklace.

This necklace was made of a strange material. It was a mixture of gold, ivory, and onyx. Gold could be from anywhere. Onyx was very rare....but ivory.... there was an ivory shop in the town of Delfin. They had visited that town not too long ago, and she remembered speaking with the Jewelry shop owner. Maybe if she asked about the material and where it comes she could sail there and ask more locals about her pirate prince.

She quickly ordered for a turnaround. And arrived at Delfin island. Runee ran to the Jewerly Shop and spoke to the owner. The owner quickly identified the metal as ivory from Egypt and the gold seemed to have been from there as well. The onyx could also hail from Egypt, but he was not sure. Runee ordered to the ship to stock up for a long trip to egypt. And they were on their way!

But then......

Runee hung her head in shame as she overlooked the BIGGEST detail of all.... they had the ship. They had the crew. They had the man... err... women-power.... but no MAPQUEST!!

"This don't look too good Cap'n. " Chiri said. "What if we're lost?"
"We are NOT lost!" Runee snapped. "We're just.... not in familiar territory."
"Same thing... " Nanshi said.

They were not experienced enough to get out of the unfamiliar waters.... and there were no signs of land for a while. They had enough food for one more week, but they would have to hurry or they would begin to turn against each other. In hunger... xD

They sailed slowly...hoping for land.... when all of a sudden....

CLANK!

"What was that?!" Runee yelped.
"It's a ship!!" a girl yelled from the crow's nest. (thats what it is isnt it? i think)
"Enemy?" Chiri asked
"No no no.... " Runee looked into her telescope. She saw a dark green ship....tattered beige sails and it was heading towards them. "DAMN!"
"Orders? Cap'n?" Nanshi asked.
"We don't know if we were under attack yet... that sound may have been a coincidence!"
"Doubt it... " a woman said.
"You know what.... ?!" Runee started.
"Cap'n!!!" Chiri cried
"WHAT!?" Runee barked.
"It wasn't an attack, but.... well.... " she pointed to a rope that had hooked on to the Kuro Ushi and was pulling the incoming ship towards them. "They're catching up to us because of this thing they shot at us!"
"CUT IT!! CUT IT!! CUT IT!!" Runee cried.

The girls threw knives and axes at it. But it was a tough thick rope to cut.

"The ship's getting closer!!" a girl cried
"What now Cap'n?!" another yelled.

Runee became speechless.... could this be the end of her voyage?! She took a deep breath and yelled, "We ATTACK!!!"

The incoming ship bumped into the Kuro Ushi and on impact, the pirate girls jumped onto the ship's deck. But.....

There was no one. The ship's deck was empty.... They were nervous and anxious. Waiting to hear a sound of an opposing team. Runee looked around... she sensed something was not right.... She signaled the girls to come back to the ship. But as the last girl stepped foot on the Kuro Ushi....

An ambush. That's what it was. The opposing pirates had snuck into the ship from the bottom. Using the cannon holes. (i guess that's what it is...) The girls were outnumbered, and they were all tied down, including Runee. The pirates laughed at how easily and stupidly these "pirates" fell. One of the pirates asked for the Captain of the ship. No one answered.

"ANSWER ME OR YOU WILL DIE!!" she yelled, as he pulled a girl from her hair.
"LEAVE HER ALONE YOU ASS!!" Runee yelled. She was tied up and was kneeling on her ship's deck.
The pirate turned around and walked towards Runee.
"Don't you dare touch one of my girls....or I'll..... I'll.... " Runee growled.
"Or you'll what?" teased the pirate. "Paint my nails? Do my hair?" he laughed.

The other pirates laughed along with him.

Runee growled.
"You're the captain of this pathetic ship eh?" he said as he grabbed her face with his dirty hand. "You're not that bad looking either.... maybe I'll ask the Cap'n if i can have my way with you when he's done!"
Runee bit his hand and kicked him in the groin. As the pirate moaned in pain, the other pirates tried holding her down, but Runee did not give in easily. She squirmed and kicked as much as she was able to. The girls looked on as their captain was being beat. They wished that they could help her, but because Runee had previously told them NOT to interfere in a case such as this, they were forced to sit still and witness her fall. They never thought that they would be in this situation at all...

"ENOUGH OF THIS!!" a voice boomed.

The pirates stopped as the voice of their captain ordered them to a halt. They backed off, and left Runee panting in anger. She was covered in bruises and blood, a lot of which wasn't hers surprisingly. The captain walked up to her. He wore a long vest tied with a red sash. And he had a large black hat. He kneeled down and wiped her face. She stared at him angrily and flinched when he touched her fresh bruises. He helped her up and smiled.

"Foolish woman." he laughed. "You really think the sea was made for woman pirates?"
Runee growled.
"Women were put on this planet for man's pleasure." he continued. "But you chose to sail the seas? HAHAHA!"
The other pirates joined him. "Hahahahaha!"
"Not only do you lack a REAL crew....but you lack the quantity of them as well." the captain continued. "But what is even more pathetic is ... "

While the captain was monolouging and his idiot crew were laughing, Runee slowly reached for a dagger that was hidden in her boot. Once she had a grip on her dagger, she swung briskly, but because her hands were tied, she fell short. Because of this, the captain had more than enough time to pull out his sword and press the tip against her neck. Runee dropped her dagger.
She failed.
This was the end.

"How dare you try and pull that on me you stupid.... wretched...." he slowed down as his eyes came in contact with her necklace. He looked at it closely. Runee began to feel awkward thinking that the captain was staring at her rack. She tried thinking of a way to use this to her advantage.

"This....is.....my.... " he began.
Runee blinked and looked up at him. She saw his eyes.... they were very familiar. And then she saw something she overlooked.... his hair. His pink.....hair!! It was him!! She knew it!! She found her pirate prince!

"MIKA!!" she squealed. As she threw her arms around his head (even with the rope around her wrists) "I FOUND YOU!!!"

Runee's crew looked in amazement... and Captain Mika's crew likewise.

"Mika?! ......" they all murmured.
